Plot

Dash & Lily is a romantic comedy series set in New York City during the holiday season. The story follows Dash, a cynical teenager who dislikes Christmas, and Lily, a cheerful and optimistic girl who loves the holidays. The two connect through a red notebook that Lily leaves in a bookstore. They exchange the notebook, leaving it in various locations around the city, as they complete each other's dares and share their feelings. Over time, they fall for each other without ever meeting in person, discovering new things about themselves along the way.

About the task

At the end of the season, Dash writes a heartfelt letter to Lily, expressing his thoughts and feelings about their unique relationship. This letter forms the basis of the grammar task.

Background information on the scene

Lily's parents are moving her to Hawaii, and they are heading to the airport for the trip. Meanwhile, Dash is trying to reach Lily and organize a meeting with her to clear the air after a big argument they had. The letter he sent her in the notebook is part of his attempt to fix things, inviting her to meet at the bookstore, which is the same place where Dash had first discovered the notebook that started their connection.
